Group fitness at Human 2.0 blends strength training, mobility work, and coaching that accounts for injury history. It suits people who are new to training and people coming back from something.
How the classes are run
- Small class sizes, so a coach can actually see and correct what you are doing
- Rehab-aware programming — coaches work alongside the physiotherapists and RMTs in the building, so a class can be adjusted around a current injury
- Progressive loading — the weight, range, or complexity goes up over weeks rather than session to session
- Modifications by default, rather than a single workout everyone is expected to survive
Classes we offer
- HumanFit: full-body strength and mobility
- Mobility for Athletes: working on range of motion and control
- Rehab-Ready Strength: for people transitioning out of physiotherapy
- Specialty Series: focused programs for shoulders, hips, knees, and back
One honest note on mobility work. Improving range of motion and control is worth doing, and it usually makes training more comfortable. But stretching and mobility drills have not been shown to prevent injury, and we are not going to tell you otherwise. What most reliably protects you is building strength gradually and not raising load faster than your tissue adapts.
Who the classes suit
- Adults who want to build strength and move more comfortably
- Rec league athletes and weekend athletes
- Desk workers dealing with stiff hips, shoulders, and backs
- People rebuilding strength after finishing rehab
If you are currently in pain, recovering from surgery, or have a condition that limits what you can do, get assessed before you join a class. Group programming is built for a room, not for your specific knee, and someone needs to know where your limits are. That is a short conversation, not a barrier.
Getting started
Classes run at our South Keys location, 2202 Thurston Drive. Drop-in, multi-class passes, and memberships are all available.
Your first class is free. If you have not trained with us before, come and try one — no commitment, and it gives a coach a chance to see how you move before you decide on anything.
If you are not sure which class fits, or whether you should be in a class at all yet, book an appointment and we will sort that out first.
